Auyantepui Tour of 7 days and 6 nights. The Auyantepuy (Auyán-tepui) is one of the largest table mountains around South America. Rarely visited, climbing becomes an unforgettable adventure. The rock formation and bisare very exceptional flora. We walked through beautiful landscapes and miss through the deep forest. This tour can take place at any time during the year. During the rainy season we recommend it in combination with a boat trip to Angel Falls.
Day 1. We will leave by plane from Ciudad Bolivar to Kavak. During the flight is a dense tropical jungle and the Caroni river before reaching the Gran Sabana,with Tepuyes arising from the plain. We arrived at the picturesque village of Indians Uruyen where we see the typical Indian huts standing in front of the dark, steep walls Auyantepui. Afternoon excursion to Guayaraca. We left in the afternoon to walk Auyantepui and from river to river,so we can always take a dip. We passed the river and climb Okon Guayaraca Camp.
Day 2. Up to the second plateau of the Rock. First walked the savannah to reach the dense jungle around Auyantepui. After a while we crossed the tepui dense vegetation and reach the huge rock of The Rock, We spend the night in the shelter of the rock.
Day 3. Auyan Tepui Climb to The Bear (El Oso). In our journey across a landscape of stone before reaching the steep wall of the Tepui. We walked along this wall and go up a huge crack. The scenery is breathtaking and black reminds primitive times. After two hours of walking we reached the rock where the Liberator takes a break. Afternoon excursion to Bear, where we will spent the night under the shelter of a rock.
Day 4. Excursions to the surrounding aera with a walk through huge slabs down Churún a tributary of the river, where we take a bath. We continue our way through the slabs, we see different types of vegetation such as mosses,cactus and orchids.
Day 5. The Bear Down of The Rock.
Day 6. Lowering to Uruyen. Guayaraca walked back and relax in the same place where we spent the night a few days. River crosses below Ocoña and finally reach Uruyen, a small town near the Indian River Uruyen.
Day 7. flight to Ciudad Bolivar. Around noon the plane takes us back to Ciudad Bolivar. 2 is good to add extra days to stay at Camp Uruyen .. you may extend this tour 14 days and get to where Jimmy Angel crashed his plane. Contact Us
