Arekuna Camp, this camp has 15 bungalows, with 2 rooms for 2 to 3 persons each and a private bathroom, all in a style very typical architecture of Indians living here. Open social areas and a casual atmosphere set around a small hill. The occupation of these rooms can be double or triple. They are equipped with a hammock,which allows them to be occupied by a fourth person. Social areas include a restaurant and bar at the top of the hill and a reception center located in the vicinity of the runway. From the rooms, thanks to its large windows,you can see the Caroni River. Camp was built taking into account the conservation of the environment and integrating its architectural design to the surrounding landscape. Es una posada sencilla, sin lujos, pero ubicada en un lugar privilegiado por las vistas y la tranquilidad. El personal es amable y cordial. Es un lugar de descanso y relajacion. Si se va en plan de disfrute en grupo para tener vida nocturna y fiestas, no es el indicado. El problema es la electricidad que funciona con planta electrica, por esto las habitaciones no tienen ni aire acondicionado ni ventilador ya que la luz la quitan a las 10pm por estar aislado del pueblo; entiendo que es un turismo de aventura y de selva pero se pudieran mejorar algunas cosas; tambien hubieron inconvenientes con el agua caliente y la ilumnacion. Hay que estar repetidamente alertando al personal para que atiendan este tipo de necesidades. La comida es buena, muy gustosa y suficiente. El dia del paseo al Salto salimos tarde ya que el guia se quedo dormido, salimos demasiado rapido y dejamos las maletas abiertas confiadamente, pensando que es un lugar de confianza; cuando chequeamos nuestras pertenencias en casa, nos dimos cuenta que me sustrajeron una navaja Victorinox, un libro y una memory card de celular. Estas son cosas que seguro al turista extranjero no les pasa, pero a nosostros los criollos, somos victimas y saben que no tenemos a quien poner la queja. Es lamentable pero real, la moral y las buenas costumbres hasta entre indigenas se han perdido. Cuiden al turista venezolano. A pesar de todo esto, los jovenes del lugar fueron muy atentos, amigables y pasamos unos dias muy agradables. Al final quede con cierto desencanto por lo de la perdida, pero el lugar es bello.
